What is THC-A?
THC-A, which stands for tetrahydrocannabinolic acid is the precursor to THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). When the flower is exposed to heat, such as during smoking or cooking, the THC-A is converted into THC. This is what gives you the head change that you know and love.
How is THC-A Flower Legal?
The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp and its derivatives containing less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis. However, the legality of THC-A can vary by state, and it’s essential to understand and follow local regulations regarding its production, sale, and use.
How to use THC-A Flower
You’ll first want to grind the flower in order to ensure you get an even burn. Secondly, you want to load it into a smoking device or rolling papers. Then you’ll want to light up the flower and inhale the smoke. Once you’ve inhaled be sure to enjoy the flavor of the smoke and exhale slowly.
How Much THC-A Flower Should I Use?
If you’re using a device such as a bong or pipe, you’ll want to load up a nugget and take anywhere between 2 – 3 puffs. Wait about 15 – 20 minutes and use more as needed. If you’re using papers or a blunt, roll it up and take between 2 – 3 puffs and repeat the process until you’ve reached the head change that you’re comfortable with.
How Strong is THC-A Flower?
